    Show me your tools

I think this would be a great place to share some of the tools we've developed.  I always wonder when I'm throwing together a quick function how many times has the same piece of code been written by different people.  I have lots of utilities I've put together that started out as something little but eventually became polished and functional enough to be useful to a larger audience.  What I don't have is a way to share them with anyone.  I also enjoy looking at other people's code as I can learn and usually get some good ideas out of it.

So here's a start.  Below is a link to an add-in I put together to match records among two files.  It reads the top row as field headers and allows you to designate different combinations of fields as unique to be matched against the other file.  I've used it for reconciling credit card transactions to ledger entries and for matching patient visits between different billing systems.

By the way, I am very impressed with this forum software.  The posting tools are very nice.

We're working on allowing uploads as well as the current downloads, as i think it's a great option and idea.

In the meantime I have uploaded the file to the add-ins folder and given an edit to your post as the description. Let me know if this is OK

    Uploads are now allowed

You should choose the folder concerned, (including the version if applicable). Add a description and tags and hit the upload button.

Files are moderated, so they can be checked for content, viruses, etc, so be patient when you upload them.

You will not be able to delete or edit the entry once sent. (If you need to PM the admin).

There is a 12mb limit and some folders only allow the correct file type (e.g Excel 2007 workbooks only allows .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlsb and .zip). most allow .zip so if your file is large, that would be a great way to go.

Hope this gets some great free demos, add-ins, etc being uploaded
