    Excel 2007 Columns Titles

How do you write a title at the top of a column where the column width is fixed, and not wide enough for the title to be written horizontally? Can diagonal titles be created?

Also can the lines between columns be a broken (dashed) line rather than a solid line?

    Hi,

If you use borders on your selected columns you can add dashed lines.

Borders are on the Home tab Font group.

Diagonal text can be applied using the Orientation button. Also on the Home tab but in the Alignment group.

Following on the Andy's and adding a little. If the column widths are fixed but the row height isn't, you could set the text on the alignment tab (Home tab>Alignment Group) to wrap. It will then wrap at any space in the text where the next word is wider than the column width.
