    Appropriate formula for my calculations

    Hi,

I need to get some calculations done in excel and can't really understand if the function I am thinking about does the trick.

Appreciate any help you can provide. I have attached a file with example data of what I have and will explain what I am looking for.

I would like to know how many agents I have daily for each skill on each shift.

Thought about using the IF and COUNTIF function, but when I try to count the different agents existing on the same shift and with the same skill all gets messed up.

I am able to calculate only one of the criteria, even tried to get the IF function with ELSE, but wasn't able to get it.

I am going round in circles now and wasn't able to find a way to go around this calculation.

    Thanks for any assistance provided.

    Pedro

    Hi,

COUNTIFS formula (Excel 2007) works - see attached.

    Hi Pedro

You have posted an xls Worksheet, so I assume you have XL2003 or earlier.

If that is the case, you will need to use Sumproduct to get your result, as Countifs is only available from XL2007 onward.

    See attached xls workbook

    Hi Alan,

Thanks a lot for your help. It has solved my problem. I am not aware of this functio, or how calculations are done when using it.

    Thanks,

    Pedro
