    Oracle User Name in MS Query

    I am using MS Query to pull data from an Oracle source into Excel for an application that I am distributing to other users.  My Oracle username is showing up when the query is refreshed and I would like to blank this out so that other users to not have to clear it before entering their own username.  I cannot find an option anywhere to take this out, so I am wondering if the functionality exists.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thank You.

    Re: Oracle User Name in MS Query

    Hi,

    That sort of depends on how you setup your database connection. Did you create a (User- or System)DSN? If so than my guess is that you listed a username in the DSN configuration.

    Click Start -> Run -> odbcad32.exe -> OK

    Go to the DSN configuration for your Oracle connection and blank the username. Hopefully that will solve the problem for you.
