    Showing welcome screen

I have opted to show everyone the screen that anonymous users get when they first arrive at the site with the 'welcome' message.

I believe it may give our registered users a better view of new stuff that appears, both in the list below the welcome message and in the sidebars.

I am really interested in your feedback as to weather you want this 'landing' view or the one you have had for the last few weeks with the 'community features.

    Re: Showing welcome screen

FWIW, I prefer this view with the 'recent site activity' rather than the community view.

As you say - it gives a better idea of what's changed.
