Username saved somewhere in ODBC connection to i-series

    Hi

We have several shared spreadsheets used to make queries on an i-Series (using Excel 2003).

It worked fine for a while but one day the spreadsheets started to save a user name in the connection. That means that other users need always to change the user name when updating the query.

The ODBC connection on all clients are created as "System DSN" now but I won't tell that they have never been "User DSN".

I have searched for a while now whithout finding where this user name is stored. So I am posting here hoping that somene can help me.

    Regards,

    Denis

I suspect you would do better looking to IBM as I suspect it is the iSeries ODBC driver that is storing it. I use that driver all the time and gave up with password and connection issues. I suspect it is in the setup of the connection on user machines.
