    query perimeters

Could anyone please help me in query perimeter editing?

A web query is successfully created in a excel worksheet. But then the 'edit query perimeter bottom' on the tool bar is not available to tick.

How to make the bottom available to tick? or how can i edit the query perimeters?

    Thanks in advance.

It would help to know the version of Excel. I suspect this is the parameter option and if so there needs to be parameters present for it to work. In web queries this is generally not the case. It may help to know what you are trying to do.

    Dear Mr. Nick Hodge,

    Thanks for your reply.

I am using Excel version 2002. I am a excel user (not programmer).

What i am trying to do is extracting some stock data by web query. But in stead of repeatly creating new query for different stock, i thought this can be done by changing the query perimeter. Am i thinking correctly? Or could you please advise me how to achieve this goal?

    Thanks a lot!

    Best regards,

    Edward

    Edward

From the UI parameters are not possible in web queries. Effectively all the query is doing is sensing the <table></table> tags in the html and giving you that. Where are you seeing the 'Parameter button' in a web query? It may be a 2002 specific thing. I don't see in 2007.
