Trying to link cell contents to another cell

    Hi,

I am using a IF formula and I would like the result to bring back the entire format of the cell not just the cell contents. For example, if(a2>=1,b2,b3) where B2 is a certain cell that has formating and b3 is a different cell with different formating. How would I do this?

    Thanks

Simply, you can't bring through formats with a function. It can be done with code but it's complexity will depend on the number of different formats you are wanting to handle.

What it appears you want to do though is use Conditional Formatting (C/F) throughout the workbook and whatever C/F is used to format B2 or B3 could be used in the cell with the IF formula.

Let us know if you need helkp with C/F
